30 May: Day of the Canary Islands We are extremely happy to share this activity with you all! 1º ESO A, B and C students created awesome posters about loan words and words and phrases picked up from English. Moreover, as a round up activity we had an outing to Los Cristianos beach! We were all eager to have an excursion after the pandemic! It has been a great multidisciplinary activity to celebrate The Canary Islands Day: 3º ESO B, 4º ESO B and 4º ESO D students interviewed English passersby to find out what they know about our islands, and after that they played beach games such as volleyball, "lucha canaria", swimming. World Water Day: The water route - La ruta del agua 👍 The origen of Adeje village is related to the influence of water. Our Town Hall and our school work together in some activities to promote the importance of water in our daily lives and in our village. Following these ideas, our IES participates in a project to teach students and the whole community the importance of saving water, a sensible use, how it is obtained and the essential role it has in our lives. Many departments worked together to create these awesome work: how to collect, carry and distribute water. SAVE, CLEAN, RECYCLE WATER! 🙋
Taking care of my image, you take care of me Last Friday, the Hairdressing and Hair Cosmetics students and the Care for Dependent People carried out an intercycle Kimua project, a project called “Taking care of my image, you take care of me”. To begin, two questionnaires were carried out, the Hairdressing students had to answer questions about different groups with specific needs, while the Dependency students answered about how to perform hair hygiene and manicure. Next, some videos were shown where hairdressing students had edited around hair hygiene and manicure. Afterwards, the Dependency students gave voice-over presentations about users with four types of needs: blind people, hearing loss, reduced mobility and the elderly. Doubts that appeared in the different groups were also resolved.
